Do you know which was the first organized journey?

We’ll tell you all about it in this post.

It occurred on July 5th, 1841, specifically in Great Britain, between Leicester and Loughborough, where the first train journey in history was organized. The sole purpose was for a group of individuals to travel to attend a conference against alcohol consumption in the city of Loughborough.

The organizer of that inaugural journey was Thomas Cook, a figure advocating against alcoholism. Four years later, in 1845, he established his own company, named ‘Thomas Cook and Son,’ thus becoming the world’s first agency dedicated to organizing unique and special trips.

Gradually, over the years, his business began to grow, and he ventured into organizing trips throughout Europe, eventually expanding to global destinations.

B-Travel, a fair dedicated exclusively to tourism and private travel, will be held annually in March in the city of Barcelona. It’s a platform where professionals can showcase to the public all the experiences and trips they have created, providing ideas to visitors for organizing their future travels to any destination worldwide
